This page describes the same account deletion flow used inside the I Can Affirm & Share app.
30-day scheduled deletion with cancel option before purge
How to request deletion in the app
Use the same account you want to remove.
From your profile/settings area, open the account settings screen.
The app shows a confirmation dialog before sending the request.
Your account is marked for deletion and the backend starts a 30-day grace period.
What happens after the request
- Your account status changes to scheduled for deletion.
- The purge is scheduled for 30 days after the request.
- You can still cancel the pending deletion before the purge date.
How to cancel a pending deletion
- Open the app and sign in to the same account.
- Go to Settings, then Account Settings.
- If deletion is pending, tap “Cancel deletion request”.
- Your account becomes active again if the purge has not yet happened.
